Samantha practises in all areas of Family Law and Crime. 

Finance: Samantha advises and acts in all aspects of family finance and related enforcement proceedings, including matrimonial financial orders, claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 and Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989. During pupillage, Samantha’s supervisors included Richard Harrison and Harry Oliver, and she thereby gained experience of such work at all levels.

Private Law Children: Advising and acting for parents and other family members in all aspects of private law children work, including intractable residence and contact disputes, cases with an international element and cases involving allegations of child abuse and domestic violence.

Public Law Children: Samantha acts for all parties in care and adoption proceedings, including parents, extended family members, children and local authorities.

International Children Law: Acting for parents, children and guardians in all areas of international children law, including international child abduction and leave to remove applications. During pupillage, Samantha spent six months with Richard Harrison, thereby gaining experience of cases at all levels up to the Supreme Court, including emergency hearings, final hearings and appeals.

Criminal Law: Samantha acts for both defendants and the prosecution in criminal matters in Youth Courts, Magistrates Courts and the Crown Court. Samantha spent part of her pupillage with Alan Gardner, gaining experience of criminal cases at all levels.

Samantha is fluent in French. She is a member of the Family Law Bar Association and the Criminal Bar Association.
