Finance – Charlotte practises in all areas of family finance, including ancillary relief, Schedule One applications and TOLATA claims.
Private Law Children – Charlotte is frequently instructed to represent parents in private law children disputes, and has particular experience of contested hearings concerning issues of contact, residence and parental responsibility.
Domestic Violence and Injunctions – Charlotte regularly acts in injunctive proceedings arising from allegations of serious domestic violence and abuse. She worked for two organizations as a domestic violence caseworker before coming to the bar.
Public Law Children – Charlotte practises all areas of public law. She acts for parents, children, wider family members and Local Authorities in care and adoption proceedings, and has experience dealing with cases involving allegations of sexual, physical and emotional abuse, domestic violence, severe neglect and the causation of non-accidental injuries to a child.
Criminal Law – Charlotte acts and advises in all areas of criminal law for both the defence and prosecution. She has also been instructed in Health and Safety prosecutions and has experience of related civil proceedings, such as applications for Anti-Social Behaviour Orders, Restricted Sales and Restricted Premises Orders, and prison adjudications.
