Finance – Laura practises in all areas of matrimonial finance, cohabitation disputes and related enforcement proceedings.
Private Law Children – Laura’s practice encompasses all aspects of private law proceedings relating to children and she has experience dealing with complex and intractable contact and residence disputes, including those resulting in enforcement proceedings under s11(J) of the Children Act 1989. She has also acted in cases involving allegations of child abuse and domestic violence within the private law sphere, those with an international dimension (including applications for leave to remove involving parallel immigration proceedings) and applications under the Adoption and Children Act 2002, in particular Special Guardianship Orders.
Public Law Children – Laura acts for parents, children, extended family members and Local Authorities in care proceedings, and has experience dealing with cases involving allegations of sexual, physical and emotional abuse and neglect.
Criminal Law – Laura practises criminal law at all levels and regularly acts for both Prosecution and Defence. She also has experience of applications for Anti-Social Behaviour Orders and Hospital Orders under s.37 of the Mental Health Act 1983.
